Tibetan medicine is an integral form of medicine that strives to maintain the equilibrium of the energies within the body. The human being is considered as part of Nature, and equal importance is attached to both physical symptoms and mental health.
A special characteristic of Tibetan remedies is that they are multicompounds, i.e. they consist of many different natural components. Moreover, in comparison with conventional herbal remedies the dosage of the individual components is very low. Thus it is achieved that they are effective on several levels and at the same time counteract possible side effects.
Tibetan medicine is one of the oldest continuously practised medical systems in the world and dates back many centuries. It is PADMA’s aspiration to put this vast knowledge on the World’s cultural map. The many different scientific studies which PADMA conducted has lead to an acceptance of Tibetan medicine in the West and in the health systems of the Western worlds.
