Production

How is PADMA 28 manufactured?
The manufacture of herbal products must be carried out carefully and gently, if the herbs are to be able to develop their full powers. This is done in specialised production plants, where the personnel are trained in the processing of herbs.
The controlled raw materials are carefully ground, mixed and filled in capsules, formerly pressed into tablets. In order to pack the capsules/tablets hygienically and at the same time to protect them against moisture, they are sealed in a plastic and aluminium foil.

How is it ensured that PADMA 28 contains the right plants in the right amounts and is not contaminated?
The variety of the different plants and minerals makes heavy demands on Quality Assurance in the course of manufacture. PADMA AG works according to internationally recognised guidelines, the observance of which is monitored by the drug regulatory authorities.
All the raw materials, the individual stages of production and the finished products are checked by modern analytical methods, in order to be able to guarantee a high-grade product. Checks are also carried out for any possible residues and contaminants such as pesticides, heavy metals, bacteria, fungi, and aflatoxins.

Why does PADMA 28 have such a characteristic taste and smell?
Tibetan remedies are composed according to the doctrine of the five elements. The taste indicates to the Tibetan pharmacologist which elements an ingredient is made up of. This in turn provides clues as to the effect the ingredient may have on the body. Apart from taste, other sensory criteria are important for the assessment of an ingredient; qualities such as rough, oily, light and others are taken into consideration when assessing the effect on the human being and selecting the ingredients for a particular medicine. For this reason, PADMA Inc. doesn’t adapt the taste of its products to Western taste habits. For the product to take effect these sensory qualities do not have to be experienced with the tongue; the effects unfold inside the body anyhow. PADMA Inc. has recently introduced the encapsulation of its products - as is increasingly done in many countries where Tibetan Medicine is traditionally practiced. You have the choice whether you would like to experience the taste or not. If you appreciate the taste, simply open the capsules and suspend the contents in water or mix it into yoghurt.
